bits and pieces
Duration: 1 – 2 day/s //
Target group: Classes 2-13
Action framework: Public space, rearranging found material and documenting it with photography.
PROCEDURE After a brief introduction to the task using examples from contemporary art (land art) via beamer, we go together to a nearby forest, to the beach or simply to nature, near the school. There the students will develop compositions of found material and the respective location with the help of their classmates and I will photograph and document the working process and the result. GOAL Every single participant contributes to gaining a different perspective. It doesn't take a lot of technical effort to find out that we are part of the whole and can help determine the value and quality of that place. From everything that nature "throws off" and thus provides us with as material, wonderful pictures can be created which expand the concept of art and raise it from the small to the really big, accessible and thus a new physical experience.
