The very process of designing is full of contradictions. His numerous approaches and aberrations are usually invisible later on. Published are only proofen results, the thesis or the successful experiment. The recording of thoughts in the form of notes, sketches or formulas accompanies almost every new insight. On plain paper you can find the traces of scientific, artistic activity: the searching beginnings and possible distortions. The draft and also the throwing stand together on the threshold between thought and its public exposition. Writing and drawing are themselves knowledge-raising procedures.
