CUMULUS _ wenn Wolken wandern, 2022

This workshop is suitable for all ages from 8 years and up. We explore the sky together with the students.
The starting point of our exploration is the experience and observation of the weather above us and reflecting it from our memory. What are those things in the sky that you always see but don't really notice? What are they made of? Where are you from? Where are you headed? Can you see the same cloud from two viewpoints in the same shape? Can you sit on a cloud and fly away? Are clouds heavy or light? do they have names How many forms can they take? And how do they dissolve again? Clouds have long fascinated humans, and their study has progressed greatly with the advent of film and video, then satellite imagery. During the project days we will become cloud researchers ourselves and use different media to approach the "cloud phenomenon". We discover our own cloud pictures, draw them and become clouds ourselves. Media may vary by age level. We approach it graphically, performatively - our own body, the movement, we create with the materials found in nature and record these temporary results with the help of film and photos. These photos and possibly films can then be viewed again in class and shown in an exhibition. The results are also conceivable for the design of further teaching units. For example, fantastic research stories could arise from the experiences of the day... A format by Ann Carolin Renninger and Chili Seitz
