Sjüün AR, 2021

The app „Sjüün AR“ invites you to explore various places on the island of Sylt on (and off) location, enriched through digital storytelling. Using augmented reality technology, you can explore works of art from the past rooted to the location of the island, digitally situated by the artist, as a three-dimensional experience. The historical works of art from the collection of the Sylt Museum were associated to the locations of the island to develop a juxtaposition of past and present and further enhanced through the simultaneous presentation of contemporary photographs in the museum. In addition, up to five virtual AR objects can be en-voked interactively at the individual locations. The app is available free of charge in the app stores.
